As a role model and a perfect example for other women in her second innings of life, I have revived as a star in fashion industry.
After receiving prestigious Uttam Kumar award for “Best Newcomer Model” in Kolkata in 1999, I got an opportunity to work in a comedy Bengali tele-serial “Mama Bhagne” and late Anjan Chowdhary’s Bengali movie “Chandra Mallika” for a short role as “Pinki” and featuring as a print model for Femina Millenium(2000) issue, Kolkata.
I left the tinsel town and made my career in the corporate world for 11 years mainly in the hotel industry and also had a stint in media industry.
After 18 years, I re-entered the fashion world and made my presence by winning Most Vivacious title in IAB – I am Beautiful in 2018 in Goa.
I have made a prominent place in fashion and beauty industry by winning “Elite Mrs Singapolitan Worldwide 2019/20″ at Hilton Hotel, Singapore.
The reason why I joined this pageant and gave my 100% in the pink ribbon projects was because it supported the noble cause of breast cancer and made me realize my potential as a Corporate Trainer and Life Coach that i could significantly contribute and give something back to the society.
I conducted several complimentary Breast Cancer Awareness workshop and corporate training sessions in Delhi-NCR region, met cancer survivors to understand their painful journey, tied up with Foundations for community awareness drive, held Coffee Meet and international awareness session in Bhutan.
I also took this opportunity to launch organic Pink Yoghurt and associate with GS Foundation for their up-coming Pink City Run due in October 2019.
I am undertaking all the above mentioned projects under the umbrella branding of Aesthetics International’s -” the pink ribbon” and my project name is “Think 4 Pink by PS”.
As part of any international pageant I have been working very hard since the time I decided to participate in the National level pageant organised by Aesthetics International in Meerut.
I won the 1st runner up title in India on 31st January 2019, post which I decided to take it up to an international level.
By April end, being the only participant from Aesthetics International, India, I felt a sense of accountability not only towards my family but also towards Aesthetics International and my country.
We had participants representing from different countries and few represented certain states of India.I represented Mrs. Haryana as part of Elite India Finalist at Miss&Mrs Singapolitan Worldwide 2019, contestant number 17.
I was guided by an international pageant coach and organizer Ms. Vanithadevi Saravanamuttu, Director, Styleetiquette and Celebrity Image Coach.
By winning the pageant and associating with the noble cause of breast cancer-“the pink ribbon”, I want to share my life mentor Daisaku Ikeda’s strong message to every woman to “FLY- First Love Yourself”.
I am an ardent practitioner of Nichiren Buddhism philosophy since 2007 and believe in chanting “Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo” like the roar of a lion!
